THE CHRONOLOGY A very detailed chronology of all known Sinatra performances (1933-1995), including studio recordings, concerts, guest appearances, radio and TV shows. They are listed both by date and by song title and include all standard details such as arranger, conductor, author(s) etc. The chronology section consists of separate chapters (originally intended to be published as a book), such as Songs, Dates, Radio series, TV series, Film Songs, Parodies, Sinatra Conducts etc. and a listing of all Vocalists and Orchestras with whom Sinatra has performed. For each song that has been issued, the chronology will show one record on which it can be located. An index of these records is included. A bibliography of books dealing with Sinatra performances has also been added. The lyrics to most songs have been added and the Parodies section even includes the special lyrics to many tunes as well as the relevant spoken parts. The Chronology has been compiled using MS Word© software. |

THE DISCOGRAPHY This part of the database consists of two sections: Records and Songs. The Records section consists of a listing of all USA issued records containing Sinatra tracks (78 & 45 rpm, V-discs, microgroove singles, 7"jukebox, 10 & 12" LP's and CD's) and of all known Sinatra LP's and CD's issued worldwide, including full track details. Every single record has been given its own specific catalogue number (the "Codex"), according to the category to which it belongs. Collectors may use this classification system also as a tool to easily locate the records in their collection. The Songs section lists all songs with the records on which they can be found. This discography section is completely interactive, enabling you to search for specific songs and records by using criteria such as Record(Album) or Song Title, Author(s), Conductor, Arranger, Recording Date, Matrix number, Record Label, Serial number, Alternate Take, Country of Issue, etc. but also by combining any of these criteria. Alternate takes have been provided with definitions of differentiations. In addition, all listed records can be searched by Record Category, such as Promos, Soundtracks, Live Recordings, U.S. Government Issues, Christmas Records, etc. The special database software for this section has been originally developed by Raymond Broeckx of Belgium and has been the basis for a completely new interactive application developed by Richard Schwarz of Holland. IMPORTANT MESSAGE ! The release of version 3.6 in February 2010 will be the final version of the WOW Database. There will be no further updates, as potential issues of new Sinatra material are expected to be few and far between. The present version 3.6 covers all known material and issues up to January 2010 and will remain a useful and complete database for practical purposes. For information on price and availability, please click on the ORDER page. If you already own a WOW Database and want to up-date to version 3.6, please go to the UPDATES page.
